1977 Mercedes Benz 409

I think the owner used to have this truck. Note the 3 doors.

1977 Volvo 265GL

The left fender must have come from a 264 GL sedan.

1977 Pontiac Firebird

Do you have an older family member who is also a classic car fan? Do you need to keep them busy for a while, out of your hair?

Park them in the driver's seat of this beauty. It will keep them occupied for hours without being a risk to themselves or anyone on the street.

Just insert coins in the slot and you friend will be cruising the back roads of his memory, perhaps reliving scenes of "Smokey and the Bandit 2" and considering growing that moustache, buying that cowboy hat he always wanted.

1977 Alfa Romeo Spider

Photographed in exactly the same spot as this car.

1977 Chevrolet Silverado Shortbox

You can just make out the spider that has built it's web by a headlight -- proof of the stationary nature of this truck. That and last year's tags.

That single new looking wheel -- perhaps sanded and re-painted, or a new replacement for a hopelessly rusted one. The dual gas doors imply dual gas tanks. The matte painted sections suggest this is a hipster type project. So do the artfully rusty doors.

What really gets me are the overall proportions due to the short load bed. There's just something about that profile.

1977 Cadillac Sedan de Ville

I guess Cadillacs of the 70s just don't have their headlights firmly mounted. Love the vast expanse of the hood, with the large elevated section -- shrunken compared to predecessors but still present, like some inherited glandular condition. And it still has vestigial fins, 15 years after they went out of style.

Nice eroded paint on the hood and grille surround. Turn indicators actually do look elegant, as do the shapes of the wheel wells. Unlike many full sized GM vehicles of the era, the wheels & tires don't look too small for the car.

Another vehicle missing passenger side hubcaps.
