The newer exhaust pipe suggests more extensive mechanical changes, maybe a more modern engine. Definitely not operating in "variable displacement" mode.

The owner came along and drove away before I could get all the pictures I would have liked.
As with many cars I choose to photograph, I have ambivalent feelings about this car. It seems like Ford gave up making it look interesting or innovative, and we end up with something more bland than the previous version.

1978 Cadillac Coupe de Ville

I have, up to now, been uninterested in this generation of de Ville. It just seemed like Cadillacs were just getting more bland. However this example has changed my mind.
