1966 Mercedes Benz 230

I was a little worried when shooting this car, simply because it is so similar to post #1, and I didn't want to repeat myself too closely. Well okay, maybe I did repeat myself. But comparing them, it seems my approach has changed a fair bit, and I'm more pleased with how this one turned out. If you are looking at this on a phone or tablet, check it out a regular desktop too.

Somehow, this car looks like it could as easily have been designed in East Germany. It's that austerity, the subdued shapes. Which makes the chrome look even more impressive. A serious looking car.

1985 Ford LTD LX

I had not realized that the car you see was kind of special for technical reasons until I looked it up. The blacked out grille and faded red stripe hidden in the side strip should have tipped me off. I hope it is just awaiting restoration under it's guardian motion sensor light.

What with constrained space and steel barrel, I could not get a proper profile, or a shot of the "LTD LX" badge on the trunk lid.

1963 Austin-Healy 3000 Mark III

Another remarkable shape from England, this one more sensuous than many.

Ah that finely sculpted countenance leading back into the sweeping fenders and doors, the rear fenders looking just a little too compressed above the wheel. The side chrome accents -- door handle, window sill, strip set into the fender. Wonderful wire wheels. All somewhat marred by the excessively tall roof.

1968 Ford Thunderbird

Curious how the hood and trunk are the main areas for patina.

Vinyl roof has a curious sort of "alligator" pattern to it. Paint above the side ridge is much more dulled than paint below that line. No "Ford" markings as far as I can tell. Such an excellent colour.
