1974 Fiat 500

From the absurdly large to the absurdly small. I suspect someone might actually drive this car -- the tags are up to date. However, the dirt on the tires suggest otherwise.

Love how the wheels are so small that the (four!) bolts are near the rim. Plus the ridiculous clam shell of a hood, the way the window corners are so rounded, the enormous looking vents on the trunk, and the pope's nose licence plate light. The over-all shape is so rounded and somehow misshapen as to seem made from play-doh. This is basic "car-ness", what a small child might draw, and anyone seeing the drawing would recognize.

For it's time, this car was very practical. Unfortunately, it's time was the 50s and early 60s.

1977 Cadillac Sedan de Ville

I guess Cadillacs of the 70s just don't have their headlights firmly mounted. Love the vast expanse of the hood, with the large elevated section -- shrunken compared to predecessors but still present, like some inherited glandular condition. And it still has vestigial fins, 15 years after they went out of style.

Nice eroded paint on the hood and grille surround. Turn indicators actually do look elegant, as do the shapes of the wheel wells. Unlike many full sized GM vehicles of the era, the wheels & tires don't look too small for the car.

Another vehicle missing passenger side hubcaps.

1978 International Harvester Scout II

Not too heavily modified, though the exhaust pipe is a bit much. Doubt the black fenders are original either, but they set the red off nicely. Almost none of the original badges are left.

Such a simple purposeful vehicle, boxy, minimalist -- at least originally. The heavily chromed mirrors look odd -- not stock either.

2017 Cadillac Eldorado

If you have been following this blog, you'll know that new car announcements are not something that would normally appear here. However, with the latest leak from GM, a post was absolutely necessary. It appears that Cadillac is reviving the Eldorado name, in the form of -- you guessed it -- a two door coupe.

And not just the name is being revived. In A WORLD WIDE SCOOP a reliable but anonymous source has supplied this blog with exciting information. Casual examination of the image supplied will reward you, gentle reader with another amazing bit of news. Cadillac is going back to the FUTURE!
