1978 International Harvester Scout Traveler

1964 International Harvester Travelall

Another rare beauty from the 60s. Yes, yes I know it looks somehow poorly manufactured, with uneven shut lines that were there from the start, and an un-stylish design that could not compete with the likes of the bigger auto makers.

But this was/is pure honest functionality. with only a few nods to style, and even those being outdated at the time. Interesting features: gas cap just behind the passenger side front wheel, ultra basic dash and controls, deeply curved windshield in contrast to every other pane being entirely flat, "clapping" wipers, and "barn door" style rear doors. And that long rear overhang, in such contrast to the front.

I've seen the owner out and about in this car, it is definitely fully operational.

1978 International Harvester Scout II

Not too heavily modified, though the exhaust pipe is a bit much. Doubt the black fenders are original either, but they set the red off nicely. Almost none of the original badges are left.

Such a simple purposeful vehicle, boxy, minimalist -- at least originally. The heavily chromed mirrors look odd -- not stock either.

1971 International Harvester Firetruck

I see this truck parked on a busy road out the west side once in a while. Has signs posted on it advertising a realtor. Love the golden stripes, the lights, that almost blank front, the brutal wheels, the dainty yellow and white.
