I suspect this is a DIY camper conversion, what with the furnace and insulated box. But it must be awfully dark inside.

One of the owners told me that in Japan there are small fire stations scattered at regular intervals throughout the countryside, each equipped with a small truck like this.

This one came as a fully functioning firetruck, with hoses, clothing, tools, etc however it is now used for hauling building materials, so all that had to be removed. Apparently there are a number of these in the Lower Mainland, and I have seen a few about.
